Federal Budget Spending, National Debt, Deficit
So what's the big deal about a big debt?
We have to pay interest on it and it's the
largest expense in the federal budget. It
is keeping money from the projects we
really need! Last year we spent $362
Billion just on interest. Compare that to
NASA at $14 Billion, Education at
$32 Billion, and roads at $41 Billion.
